Simeon Tolulope OYENEYE
Simeon Tolulope Oyeneye is an Assistant Lecturer and Art Historian with a strong academic and professional background in Nigerian and African art studies. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and a Master’s degree in African Art Studies from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Tai Solarin University of Education. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Art History.
His scholarly interests focus on art history, painting, Yoruba art and cosmology, urbanism and public art, modern and contemporary African artists, and art education in Nigeria. His research has contributed to reputable academic journals, with published and forthcoming works examining mural painting, public art, and indigenous artistic traditions.
Oyeneye has teaching experience at both secondary and tertiary levels and has served as a Creative Art Instructor in various institutions. He is a member of the Society of Nigerian Artists (SNA) and has participated in academic exhibitions and art seminars. His work reflects a commitment to advancing art historical scholarship, creative practice, and arts education in Nigeria.
